HistoriCorps is more than an organization mobilizing volunteers and students to save historic places at risk -- it's a community of people who care deeply about giving back and honoring the rich natural history and beauty of our country. I'm grateful to be a part of this community which through its impact has preserved so many places, but more importantly has saved so many stories. Historic places are shaped by the people who lived in them, and people find meaning in the places they inhabit. Here are found the stories of life, stories of time, and stories of people that are different, or maybe not so different, from you and me. I mean, who doesn't like a good story?

Every dollar you give helps protect and celebrate the stories of these historic places and people. Your donation turns a ripple into a wave. Its more than just filling gas tanks, sharpening tools, or charging batteries. Together we, whether as stewards or storytellers, ensure that these human landscapes are not lost to time, but are preserved for all to hear, learn from, and find inspiration.
